Participation of Marine Technics in passenger fleet refitting on the Yamal Peninsula.

A meeting covering passenger fleet issues took place on the 15th of July in Salekhard and was chaired by Aleksey Sitnikov, the first deputy governor of the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district.

The order of the day included problems connected with condition of passenger fleet, consideration of passenger craft building as well as financing of water transport provision in the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district.

This meeting was attended by Marine Technics members: Alexander Evseev, executive director, Konstantin Barkanov, head of fleet modernization Department, Alexander Popov, head of the Design Bureau.

Specialists of Marine Technics presented cargo and passenger vessel “Voyage-75MT”, koch type which was specially developed for replacing vessels of 646 project operating on the Ob-Irtysh, Yenisei, and Lena water basins.

Following the meeting, the project by Marine Technics was adopted as one of the most promising for replacement of mv “Rodina” and “Mekhanik Kalashnikov” age of which exceeds 60 years, operating on the passenger lines Salekhard-Omsk and Salekhard-Antipauta. The project “Voyage-75MT”, koch type is designed with the consideration of Siberian river features, modern requirements to passenger and cargo transportations.
