Marine Technics at NEVA 2019

  • 2019 год

From September 17 to 20, MT-Group took part in the 15th International Maritime Exhibition and Conference NEVA 2019.

Spread throughout three Expoforum halls, NEVA is rightly considered one of the biggest maritime exhibitions. Within four days, the exhibition was attended by the major shipbuilding and repairing companies, manufacturers and suppliers of marine equipment, shipowners, maritime industry experts and state authorities including Saint Petersburg Governor, Aleksandr Beglov.

MT-Group presented all its key business areas from the new design projects to the heavy machinery and radio electronics.

Due to the newly implemented International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships’ Ballast Water and Sediments, shipowners’ interest was riveted on the Headway OceanGuard® Ballast Water Management System. Headway company representatives, Mr. Allen Li and Mr. Javan Tsai, visited the exhibition as the official MT-Group suppliers and were engaged in negotiations with shipowners and fleet operators over the supply of Ballast Water Management Systems for the retrofitted vessels and over a possible participation of Headway company in construction of new vessels.

MAN engines and MT-Azcue pumps traditionally drew a lot of attention whereas Transfluid hybrid propulsion systems and Castoldi waterjet drive stroke the public with their appealing visual design. MT-Group Marine Electronics Department introduced a wide range of supplied equipment from MDC, BAYTEK, KODEN, etc. Marine Technics Design Bureau presented models of newly designed vessels and Project ST23WIM-H with hybrid propulsion system.

Within four days, MT-Group officials engaged in numerous negotiations with potential clients, discussed brand new developments and solutions for the Russian market and held several meetings with clients and manufacturers anchoring its position as a multi-brand supplier.

During the exhibition, MT-Group reached a partnership agreement with Italian company Transfluid, hybrid propulsion systems manufacturer. Marine Technics Design Bureau has already developed several projects equipped with Transfluid electric propulsion systems. What’s more, two vessels of one of the projects have already been built at the Russian shipyard.

In summarizing the results, we want to express our gratitude to our partners and clients, and also honor technical skills and workmanship of our professionals, who received a wealth of positive reviews and once again highlighted reliability and soundness of Marine Technics approach to   handling challenges.
