Marine Technics upgrades estuary pilot boat pr. 1459

The pilot boat pr. 1459 is prepared to be equipped with new gensets manufactured by Marine Technics.

The engine ЗД12 (total power 440 kW) beyond its useful life will be replaced by new diesel-geared unit manufactured by Marine Technics – MT ДРА 240-ВА with total power 480 kW.

The scope of supply includes diesel geared unit, transit frame (adapted for ship’s foundation), intermediate shaft, modern RCS and AWS systems. New modern engines Weichai Deutz (basis of diesel-geared unit) allow the ship owner to reduce operational costs.

The project is agreed with Russian River Register which significantly reduces installation period.

It is to note that Marine Technics is an official partner of Weichai Deutz and produces gensets and diesel-geared units on the basis of Weichai Deutz engines that have already established themselves as reliable and low-maintenance devices. Also, the company has developed a special fast delivery system for gensets with up to 100 kW thus supplying the items in 1 day.’
