OAO "Yaroslavl Generating Company", Uglich

ОАО "Ярославская Генерирующая Компания" г. УгличOAO "Yaroslavl Generating Company" is the operator of the subprogram "Improving the energy efficiency of the fuel and energy complex of the Yaroslavl region on the basis of the development of cogeneration energy" and a member of the technological platform "Small distributed generation".

To solve the problem of energy efficiency and to perform the tasks set by the President of the Russian Federation OOO "Diezel Group" and "Marine Technics" Group have produced and supplied MAN CHP-unit based on the most modern MAN engines model E2676 LE202, equipped with advanced technology of fuel mixture VariFuel2 from the plant Motortech (Germany). This is six-cylinder gas engine; one of its advantages is technically complex solid cylinder block. Combination of cylinder block head with four valves at each cylinder and new combustion chamber increases output power up to 220 kW, efficiency up to 42% and improves effectiveness, as well as reduces exhaust emission NOx to 500 mg/m3.

The CHP was designed for operation on natural gas at full load without limitation of annual operation hours. The units are equipped with all necessary auxiliary systems and are mounted in compact and soundproof housings. Thus the quietest MAN engines will hardly be heard outside of the module. This solution allows creating more comfortable working environment for the personnel, when placing the equipment in the Solnechny microdistrict of Uglich.

Energy efficiency problem is highly important for the Yaroslavl region, and the first mini-CHP based on MAN engines will be a step towards its increase.
Total capacity of mini-CHP will be:
209 kW – electric;
240 kW - thermal.
