Equipment Doosan

In 1958 Doosan started the production of diesel engines. The factory is located in Incheon (South Korea) and at first the company produced equipment under license of concern MAN (Germany) in 1975 and ISUZU (Japan) in 1979. Then, in 1998 Doosan created an CNG engine. Thus, the manufacture passed from diesel engines to engines on the natural gas what led to the enlargement of model range and allowed to offer a wide choice of equipment, which comply with their needs.
At present, the main places of production are located in two places in South Korea: production of engines and foundry shop for cast product manufacture in Incheon and R&D department for engine production in Gunsan.
Step by step, the development of technologies and know-how, investments into R&D department and great experience acquisition allowed to elaborate more than 1200 practical applications of different equipment. Today, about 66 type models 1200 hp are produced.
Actually, upgraded and integrated factories of engine cast production, treatment and assembly in Incheon every year produce 20000 items of engines of light duty, 24000 items for medium duty and 12000 items for heavy duty. Annually, the productivity of foundry shop in Incheon is 36000 ton.
Organization structure is divided into 4 parts according to the manufactured products:
- engines for trucks
- industrial engines
- marine engines
- gensets
