Alexander Ogloblin, a Project 3052 buoy tender, was launched in Irkutsk.

On April 25, the Project 3052 buoy tender “Alexander Ogloblin” was launched in Irkutsk region at the Administration Office of the Baikal-Angar Inland Waterways Basin.

This is already the sixth vessel of Project 3052, built at the request of Rechvodput’ Federal State Institution for the Waterways Basin administrations. The series of 10 vessels is being constructed as part of the state’s Transportation System Development Program at four shipyards in different regions of the country. MT-Group (Marine Technics) is honored to be the general contractor of these vessels.

An official launching ceremony was attended by: M.Y. Drobin, Head of Rechvodput’ Federal State Institution; D.F. Klyomin, MT-Group COO; O.A. Surov, Head of Administration of the Baikal-Angar Basin Federal State Institution; M.A. Lobanov, Minister of Transportation of the Irkutsk Region; R.L. Sitnikov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Irkutsk Region; N.S. Trufanov, Chairman of the Property Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk Region.

Victoria Korabelovna, marine blogger, Korabel.ru, became the godmother of the vessel.

The vessel is named in honor of Alexander Ivanovich Ogloblin, a hero of socialist labor, who spent over 50 years serving the district in the administration of the Baikal-Angar basin.

The main purpose of the vessel is to set, remove and transport navigation marks, including buoys, to maintain and repair navigation aids in the places of their installation, to control the state of the ship’s passage on inland waterways, to tow non-self-propelled watercraft, to transport cargoes on the working deck, and to supply vessels at roadsteads.
