Expert council of Rosmorrechflot collegium meeting

On November 21, 2014 meeting of the Expert Council of Rosmorrechflot collegiums was held, in which took part representatives of Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, project organizations and commercial enterprises of the sector.

“Marine Technics” Group was represented at the meeting by head of fleet modernization department Konstantin Barkanov and head of desing bureau Alexandr Popov.

The following issues were discussed at the meeting:

• technical project of new generation shallow-draft icebreaker 4.5 MW project 22740
• implementation of measures designed to increase productivity, create high-performance workplaces at sea and river transport
• measures aimed to stimulate passenger traffic in the Extreme North
• conceptual design of the passenger vessel “Koch-2100” for Lena river basin project PS75MT

Individual preliminary design of the passenger ship “Koch-2100″project PS75MT was developed by design bureau of “Marine Technics” Group according to the technical task of OOO “Lenaturflot” to replace the ship “Mechanic Kulibin” (Bajkal type, project 646) which was built in 1955 and performing flights on passenger line Yakutsk-Neelovo (Tiksi). The ship has length of 76.7 meters and draft of 1.60 meters and passenger capacity of 220 people, autonomy of 15 days and a cruising range of 4,000 km.

The project takes into account all the requirements of the shipowner for cargo and passenger transportation. The vessel is unique because of its small draft (only 1.6 meters), the possibility of mooring to the unimproved port facilities and unloading of passengers and cargo. In the bow of the vessel the eight-meter ladder is provided and there is a crane for unloading cars and motorboats.

This vessel must replace “Mechanic Kulibin” and provide sufficient level of comfort for passengers and cargo delivery to a distance of more than 1 500 km.
