The second life of vessel meteor-115 and 148

In accordance with the program of renovation of high-speed passenger fleet of Russian “Marine Technics” Group performed modernization of two passenger vessels of the project 23EЭ, Meteor -115 and 148.

Main engines were replaced by new economic engines manufactured by MAN, model D2842E410, with the power of 1 100 hp, the new modern system if monitoring and control of main engines was installed, installation and commissioning works were performed.

This modernization has been carried out by the Department of fleet modernization and MT-MAN department. The replacement project was developed by the design bureau of “MT-Group”.

The vessels are actively operating on lines Khanty-Manisysk – Berezovo – Salekhard.

This modernization allows ship owners to reduce operation costs and to eliminate emergency stops resulting from failure of main engines installed earlier.

Information about Meteor vessels

Motor vessel meteor of project 342E is dural diesel single-deck two-shaft hydrofoil, assigned for high-speed passenger transportations during day-time  by navigable rivers, freshwater basins and lakes in regions with a temperate climate.

The designer is Central Hydrofoil Design Bureau name after R.E.Alexeev.
