New mini-CHP was commissioned in Rostov-on-Don

“Distributed Generation” in cooperation with “MT-Group” and “GK Diesel” have supplied two power plants developed on the base of MAN E0836 LE202 gas engines to the customer “Teplokommunenergo”. The units are equipped with all necessary auxiliary systems and are mounted in a compact and soundproof housings, which allows placing the equipment in close proximity to residential buildings.

To increase energy efficiency and to get better mixing control CHP are equipped with modern gas mixer VariFuel2 (Motortech). The control system is based on special solution developed individually, taking into account the engines geometry. Leroy-Somer generator is used to generate electrical power. The automatic control system is based on the controller ComAp.

To meet the requirement of the customer on the order of station construction, there is possibility to connect independent waste-heat recovery system to the engines after commissioning. During the first stage CHP are supplied without waste-heat recovery system, during the second stage it will be installed and connected to the existing equipment.

The project was implemented within the framework of the Federal Law “On energy saving and efficiency”. Total electric output of the station is 208 kW, thermal output is 286 kW. The station has a compact design and operates in parallel with the network in basic mode. Fuel is natural gas.
