Vessel ZHIBEK ZHOLY launched at Nevsky Shipyard

Today on the 12^th of July Vessel ZHIBEK ZHOLY has been held on Nevsky Shipyard.

Today on the 12^th of July a solemn ceremony of launching of the single-deck dry cargo vessel of mixed “river-sea” navigation, RSD49 project “ZHIBEK ZHOLY” built for KTZ Express Shipping (Kazakhstan) has been held on Nevsky Shipyard.

The unique feature of the vessel is a 52-m-long middle cargo hold which enables to transport oversized project cargo on direct Europe-Caspian Sea line. It makes the ship operation more cost-effective.

Universal dry cargo vessel can also be applied for container transportation in holds as well as on hatch covers.

Major characteristics: length overall – 139.95 m, beam overall – 16.70 m, depth – 6.00 m, cargo holds capacity – 10,920 cbm, operating speed – 11.5 knots, sea / river DWT – 7143 t / 4507 t (max/ possible DWT for this class), sea endurance – 20 days.
