“Marine Technics” entered into the Association of Ports and Shipowners of the River Transport (APSRT)

At the end of July an annual 22th meeting of members from “Association of Ports and Shipowners of the River Transport” (APSRT) took place on m/v “Sergey Obraztsov”.

It is important that within the event “Marine Technics” Group (OOO “MT-Group”) was admitted to the Association by member voting. The decision to accept MT was unanimously adopted.

“Marine Technics” was represented by Konstantin Barkanov, head of fleet modernization department, and Alexander Popov, head of design bureau. More than 70 representatives from Russian river ports, shipowners, Russian River Register, Union of Russian Transport Workers attended the event. The Association considered a range of issues in the field of river transport including updating and modernization of the acting fleet.

Association of Ports and Shipowners of the River Transport (APSRT) was established on 22 February 1995 as an independent nongovernment noncommercial organization which consolidates on a voluntary basis river transport enterprises in order to coordinate their activity in industrial, scientific and technical, socio-economic issues. It provides juridical defence and represents APSRT members’ interests in public authorities.
