“Marine Technics” took part in the V International Environmental Forum

On 27-28 of February 2014 in St. Petersburg in the framework of the The UNITED RUSSIA Party Project “St.Petersburg — the Sea Capital of Russia” the V International forum “Ecology” was held.

The forum was held with the support and participation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Economic Development , Ministry of Transport and has launched the international project “Gulf of Finland Year 2014” in Russia.

Plenary sessions, conferences and round tables on legal and regulatory framework of the environmental activity control in the water resource sphere, lowering industry impact on water disposal system, supplying quality drinking water to the public; sewage treatment, reduction of the environmental damages to basins in the course of maritime and port activities were discussed in the business program of the Forum.

In the conference “Water transport: how to reduce environmental losses during maritime and port activities” took part representatives of “Marine Technics” Group – head of fleet modernization department Konstantin Barkanov and representative of RWO company Viktor Zhigalenko.

Since 2013 “Marine Technics” Group has opened a new department – “Ecology”, which allows Russian ship owners to ensure environmental compliance with modern requirements and conditions more effectively.
