Modernization of hydrofoils was discussed by representatives of MAN and “Severrechflot”

Modernization of hydrofoils was discussed at a working meeting in Khanty-Mansiysk by representatives of MAN and “Severrechflot”.

On May 22, 2015 in Khanty-Mansiysk representatives of MAN held a working meeting with the management of Severrechflot, the largest operator of high-speed passenger fleet in Russia.

The delegation of MAN on negotiations in Khanty-Mansiysk included Peter Shedel Head of sales (marine engines) and Eugen Maher, Area sales manager.

They were accompanied by specialists of “Marine Technics” Group : Gennady Pashinin, brand manager and Konstantin Barkanov, Head of  fleet modernization department.

The theme of that meeting was the program for modernization of hydrofoils, due to this programm 14 vessels SRCh were reequipped.

MAN engines were installed on vessels: «Meteor», «Voskhod», «Zarya» and «Linda».

The main competitive advantage of MAN engines is reliability, especially in difficult service conditions in areas dinstant from the cities and on  600 km lines.

Profitability is also an important quality of MAN engines. Only during the navigation period 2014 “Severrechflot” saved more than 40 million rubles on fuels and lubricants.

Examples of engine installation on vessels in different projects were demonstrated to the representatives of MAN.

The final stage of the visit was sea trials of motor vessel “Meteor 115” (motor vessel was built in 1975 and was reequipped in 2013). Operating time of the engines installed on this craft has already exceeded 3000 hours.

The program «Modernization of high-speed fleet of Russia» was started by “Marine Technics” Group in 2012.

23 reequipped vessels will start their new navigation season 2015 all over the country.

The program «Modernization of high-speed fleet of Russia» was supported by the government:the Department of transport in Tyumen region, the Ministry of transport of Yamal, the Ministry in transport of the Republic of Tatarstan.
