Modernization of service-traveling vessel “Ataman Ermak” by project 265.09

Reequipment service-traveling vessel “Ataman Ermak” by project 265.09 was started on Samuskiy shipbuilding and ship-repair plant.

As part of the vessel modernization YAMZ engines were replaced with diesel-gear units (DGU) on the basis of MAN engine D2876LE407 (490 HP) with a modern control system produced by «Marine Technics».
Assembly, testing, inspection of the DRA are carried out at the production area of “Marine Technics” Group. Delivery of equipment will be implemented in April 2016, test the vessel is scheduled for June this year.

As a result of the modernization the shipowner expects preservation the basic parameters of the ship, lower costs for fuel and maintenance, reducing the noise, increasing the engine life.
Such decisions by the Russian Assembly of final products – diesel gear, diesel-water, diesel-column units – reduce the cost of production without losing the quality that, in turn, leads to increase in demand from shipbuilders.
