Ice palace “Pestretsy-Arena” in Tatarstan has stand-alone power supply

OOO “MT-Group”, ZAO “Upgradeenergo” (Kazan) in collaboration with “Diesel” Group with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan have supplied and installed CHP-unit MAN-240N in town Petretsy of Pestrechinsky District.

The electrical generator unit is manufactured by Yaroslavl company “Diesel” on the base of MAN engine E2842 E312 within the framework of improvement of energetic effectiveness of the ice palace “Pesrtetsy-Arena”. The engine is equipped with ignition system based on MIC500 controller, engine parameter control system based on AIO-NTC controller, gas mixing system based on VariFuel 2 produced by Motortech.

CHP control system provides automatic start and stop of equipment, smooth load and unload. The main advantage of the system is flexible configuration which allows operative setup when expanding capacities. Furthermore, open-source software allows changing operation algorithms of the CHP or its separate components with minimal loss.

The electrical generator unit in container modification with heat utilization system is installed in sports center boiler-house and fully provides its power supply. Tubular exchangers for utilization of coolant and exhaust gases heat are built in electrical generator unit. Produced heat is used for hot water supply and heating. The equipment is placed in a single container and supplied fully ready for operation.

Mini-CHP operates in parallel with the network, prohibited power output into city network. Total electric output of the station is 240 kW, thermal output is 365 kW. Fuel – natural gas.
