“Bospor” boat pr. ST23WIM is handed over to the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch

New ice-class boat “Bospor”, project ST23WIM, was handed over to the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch according to the order of FSUE “Rosmorport” of 08.06.2017 No. 215.

The vessel is constructed by the order of FSUE “Rosmorport” on LLC “Onego Shipyard” (Petrozavodsk, Russia).

Ships of the project ST23WIM were designed by our Design Bureau (Marine Technics) and the share of the equipment supplied by our Company exceeds 95 %.

The vessel is equipped with up-to-date powerful and cost efficient diesel engines which allow to reduce operational costs of the Branch in order to take pilots onboard in due time. Herewith, a thruster is installed to improve ship’s control which increases maneuvering accuracy at mooring operations as well as moving through narrow places.

This workboat became the 3rd pilot boat operated by the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch and the 50th boat in the Branch fleet.

Navigating features of the ship enable to operate in difficult weather conditions with wave height up to 3.5 m. Being an ice-class boat, it can operate in open pack ice corresponding to “Ice 2”.

“Bospor” will be operated by the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch in the sea port of Novorossiysk to transport pilots to/from vessels carrying out ship entries in the seaport.
