Launch of boom-laying boat “Aleksandr Sizontsev”

On April 15^th, 2016, the boom-laying boat was launched during a solemn ceremony.

On April 15^th, 2016, on the territory of PAO Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding Plant the boom-laying boat of the project A-40-2Б-ЯР was launched during a solemn ceremony.

6 vessels are planned in total. Under recommendation of the customer the lead ship received the name of Aleksandr Sizontsev. These boats are planned to be deployed in 6 ports in different regions of the Russian Federation.

Key characteristics: length overall – 20.97 m; breadth overall – 5.7 m; draught – 1.17 m; speed – about 20.0 knots, cruising range – 250 miles, endurance – 3 days, main propulsion – 2х588 kW, displacement – 51.6 t, crew – 2, personnel – 4.

In general, such type of crafts is intended for accident and rescue operations.

Authorized representatives from interested government agencies and departments took part in this event.

Azcue marine pumps supplied by Marine Technics are installed on the lead boat.
