IMDS-2013: Results of Marine Technics Group participation

Marine Technics Group actively participated in the 6th International Maritime Defence Show (IMDS-2013), which took place in Saint-Petersburg July 3-7, 2013. The event involved the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service of military and technical cooperation, Saint-Petersburg City Administration and JSC “Rosoboronexport”. This Show is among the top three leading world navy shows.
The following equipment was displayed on the stand of the Company: marine diesel engine MAN R6-800 (Germany) and magnetic compass Saura T-130VD with repeater NRC-150 (Japan). Visitors had the chance to meet with Gregorio Passani, Sales and Marketing Director in Nanni Industries SAS (France), and representative of MAN concern (Germany) Peter Schedel, Area Sales Manager in MAN Engines, and Eugen Maier, Marine and Area Sales Manager for regions Russia, CIS, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.
In the sea area of the Show, Marine Technics Group represented the project of unmanned maritime vehicle BK55, designed and constructed in collaboration with “Composite Shipbuilding” Company, Belarusian organization “KVANT” with support of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The unmanned complex BK55 can be used for navigation equipment installation on water reservoirs and rivers, in the coastal areas of seas, for military and intelligence purposes. Main features of the craft: length – 5.5 m, beam – 1.8 m, draught – 0, 58 m. Engine Nanni Z4.165 with stern drive Bravo 2, output 156 hp, mounted on the vessel, is able to travel at a speed up to 50 knots. The hull is made of glass-fiber plastic which makes it invisible for radars and invulnerable for mines with magnetic properties. Gorbanovsky Vladimir Nikolaevich, the first Deputy Director of SCO Business Club, granted diplomas for high professional contribution in the formation and development of Shipbuilding for countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization for companies-participants of the project.
During the Show, employees of Marine Technics Group led negotiations with ship owners, representatives of design bureaus, shipbuilding and ship repairing yards of Russia and Ukraine, such as “Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding plant”, Shipbuilding Company “Almaz”, “Zelenodolsk plant named after A.M. Gorky”, “Feodosiya shipbuilding company Morye”, Kherson State Plant “PALLADA”, “Concord Catering”, “Mobile Group”. Also a lot of questions about collaboration, marine equipment supply for different shipbuilding projects were discussed, for example, 02690 (shipbuilding company “Almaz”), Dugon (“Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding plant”), passenger vessels (“Concord Catering”).
