Results of the annual seminar “Modern navigation equipment”

The seminar which has already become traditional event was attended by 115 representatives of ship owners, shipbuilding yards, design bureaus, service stations as well as students from Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping. For many guests it was their first seminar.

Representatives of company-manufacturers KODEN (Japan), BenMarine/Amesys (France), Tokyo Keiki (Japan), HighLander (China) spoke during this event. The programme of the seminar included company profiles, demonstrations and examination of the modern radio and navigation equipment (radars, echo sounders, GLONASS receivers, speed logs, gyrocompasses, autopilots, etc.).

The first day of our seminar was marked by the presentation of the equipment manufactured by Tokyo Keiki (Japan), BenMarine/Amesys (France), and Marine Technics.

Rob Mohr, representative of Tokyo Keiki, demonstrated a great variety of navigation equipment. Special attention was drawn to gyrocompass TG-8000, its advantages, operation features, service. Today, being an exclusive distributor of Tokyo Keiki, Marine Technics is promoting this world-popular gyrocompass on the Russian market.

Emmanuel Phelipeau, sales manager of BenMarine/Amesys, provided data of well-known to Russian ship owners electromagnetic speed logs Amesys Blind Anthea as well as other versions of logs, repeaters, flow meters, compasses produced under BenMarine brand.

In the conclusion specialists of Marine Technics gave detailed information of the equipment, produced under own brand such as radars, navigational echo sounders, video systems, AIS receivers, etc.

The second day started with the speech of Nagasawa Masashi, marketing manager, and Tomoya Aoki, engineer of Koden Electronics. Again they marked our company as a reliable partner and solemnly granted a memorable award “The World Best Partner 2015”. Marine Technics has received this award for the third year in a row.

Nagasawa Masashi and Tomoya Aoki brought to light the most urgent and up-to-date information regarding all KODEN navigational equipment including new radar models. To sum up, an increasing interest to KODEN product is observed.

Lobanov Nikolai Uvenalievich, expert of RRR, and Shvaiba Igor Petrovich, deputy head of radio and navigation department in RMRS, submitted reports on amendments in standards and requirements as well as terms of their application, answered extremely actual and striking questions of the participants.

Robert Edrington, sales manager of Beijing Highlander Digital Technology, closed the theoretical part of the seminar. Highlander produces a wide range of marine equipment but the special attention was drawn to new voyage data recorders (VDR) that comply with new IMO requirements and are certified by RMRS.

During the seminar all the radio and navigation equipment was displayed on benches that allowed our guests to appraise the product in operation, ask technical questions to the OEM-representatives and engineers of “Marine Technics”.

Especially for service engineers on the service station of “Marine Technics” the third day was organized where specialists underwent instructions and technical training on navigation equipment. The members received all necessary technical information and practised service.

“Marine Technics” thanks everyone for its participation. This year a record number of visitors were involved that underlines actuality of the provided information.
