Effective energy in Uglich

A few days remain before the launch of the new boiler-house in Uglich, its construction began in 2013. Boiler-house is designed to provide with heat two city districts – Solnechny and Uglichmash – and to solve the problems of heat and hot water for 48 houses, two kindergartens, a schools and a youth center.

The project was carried out by OAO “”Yaroslavl Generating Company”, the operator of the subprogram “Improving the energy efficiency of the fuel and energy complex of the Yaroslavl region on the basis of the development of cogeneration energy” and a member of the technological platform “Small distributed generation”.

According the director of Uglich branch of OAO “Yaroslavl Generating Company” the use of innovative technologies and modern equipment will provide reliable operation and qualitative system regulation.

For implementation of the innovative boiler-house project OOO “Diezel Group” and “Marine Technics” Group have produced and supplied MAN CHP-unit based on the most modern MAN engines model E2676 LE202, equipped with advanced technology of fuel mixture VariFuel2 from the plant Motortech (Germany). Combination of cylinder block head with four valves at each cylinder and new combustion chamber increases output power up to 220 kW, efficiency up to 42% and improves effectiveness, as well as reduces exhaust emission NOx to 500 mg/m3.

The CHP was designed for operation on natural gas at full load without limitation of annual operation hours. The units are equipped with all necessary auxiliary systems and are mounted in compact and soundproof housings. Thus the quietest MAN engines will hardly be heard outside of the module.

The head of Uglich region Sergey Maklakov says that the new boiler-house will solve all heat and hot water problems and the power reserve will be enough for social infrastructure development.
