Report in the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tatarstan

On March 13, 2014 in Kazan, Tatarstan Republic, in the Ministry of Transport and Road Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan a meeting on the organization of uninterrupted and safe passenger navigation 2014 was held. In discussion took part heads of the Ministry, representatives of the largest shipping companies in the region “Tatflot” and “PONM Naberezhnye Chelny” specialists of the Russian River Register, representatives of “Marine Technics” Group.

Republic of Tatarstan is opening new high-speed passenger lines, and therefore, the problem of shortage of fleet for these lines becomes evident. Construction of new vessels is a long and expensive process. To solve this problem, experts of “Marine Technics” Group have developed a plan of modernization and reconstruction of existing vessels “Meteor”.

During the discussion of prospects of development of the passenger fleet in the Republic of Tatarstan brand manager MAN Gennady Pashinin and Head of Fleet modernization department Konstantin Barkanov delivered their reports.

Gennady Pashinina reported on “Russian fleet modernization program”, the report was dedicated to the finished projects and covered in detail all the stages of the modernization program and its results. Konstantin Barkanov made a presentation on the topic “Modernization of speed fleet in the Republic of Tatarstan”, outlining a plan of modernization of the fleet in the new high-speed passenger lines of Tatarstan, estimating its cost and efficiency. Reports have ended with a libely discussion and received positive estimation of representatives of shipping companies and the Deputy Minister Egorov.
