Principle of operation:

Bilge waters are delivered from the bilge by an eccentric screw pump through OWS-COM, which allows to avoid emulsions, created by mixing water and oil products. At the first stage because of density difference between oil and water separation is performed directly when mixture is flowing through the open-porous type coalescing filter, smallest oil droplets are separated by the extremely oleophilic surface. The operation mode is controlled by the Bilge Alarm Monitor OMD 24. The second stage when the Adsorber elements remove all kind of hydrocarbons from the water is activated if after the first stage the oil content is higher than specified level. This system extends operating life of the adsorber.
